You Me and the Cat  - Acoustic Duo

It all began in November of 2007 when Australian singer songwriter Cherie Lucas moved to LA to work on her solo project… little did she know that on day one she would meet her future musical and life partner, Slovenian guitarist, songwriter and producer Ales Marjetic, her new neighbor living on the floor below.

They clicked right from the start and by February they began writing and recording there first tunes together. August 2008 saw the beginning of their live journey booking shows in Hollywood and the infamous Sunset Strip while continuing to write and record new tracks.

By early 2009 they got their first song on high rotation on college radio station
OC ROCK RADIO with several more to follow, this saw them playing bigger and better venues like The House of Blues (Hollywood CA) and the Cabana Club (Hollywood CA).

2010 brought a change of scene with a move to Ales’ hometown Ljubljana Slovenia. The pair instantly began work on external projects with Ales writing, playing and producing for several local bands and artists… many of these collaborations have landed in the top 10 on the local music charts. Cherie also worked on various projects penning lyrics for a Gospel act out of LA working with the likes of local composer Rok Galob and international legends Vinnie Colaiuta and Luis Conte.

Bringing us to 2012, a move to Sydney Australia and the rebirth of the pairs musical collaboration now named You Me & The Cat. As well as writing, filming, recording and posting the pair are quickly filling their calendar with gigs around Sydney. This quirky rock/pop duo will not disappoint with fun fresh tunes posted weekly on their ever-growing YouTube Channel.
